Men's Fellowship - Men of Honour

Psalms 1:1-3

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

To establish fellowship and relationship among men, thus together, enabling them to fulfil their God given potential and purpose, through seeking the love and honour that comes from the only God (John 5:44), to bring about a renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), and to walk continually in the Lord’s presence, clothed with His Spirit and power, for the establishment of the body of Christ, and the kingdom of God.

The focus of the men’s fellowship is to continually seek God through prayer and worship and to wait for the Holy Spirit to guide, direct and to impart His vision for the fellowship. Genesis tells us that God has already blessed us and told us to be “Fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over every living thing that moves on the earth&” (Genesis 1:28). Therefore we cannot seek to establish ourselves in our own strength and wisdom. Indeed, God revealed to one of our members in the first night vigil that, “our problems can not be solved by good planning. He will do it by the supernatural and that He will enlarge our coast”.

The vision

During one of the night vigils God revealed through one of the prophets that, He will raise great men from Life Changing International Ministry. He will bring a powerful financial blessing on the Church. This prophecy is based on scriptures which say:

  1. I will give you the treasures of darkness riches stored in secret places so that you may know that I am the Lord the God of Israel who summons you by name (Isaiah 45:3)
  2. The silver is mine and the gold is mine declares the Lord Almighty (Haggai, 2:8)

This powerful financial blessing will come through one of the Men of Honour. Through the blessing of one man’s business ventures, all other business ventures will be blessed. Indeed, Bishop Duncan-Williams reminds us that greatness which comes from God can only be attained through kingdom principles. That kind of greatness must not be squandered in the pleasures of this world, but must be dedicated to channeling all its benefits into the promotion of God’s kingdom. When God endows one with greatness, one must continually seek out others to bless, who can be raised with ones greatness. Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend (Prov, 27:17).

Therefore, in faith, all the Men of Honour (and Kingdom Women) who have business interests should begin to prepare their business plans in early 2008 in preparation for the financial release. The finance generated from the various businesses is to be used to promote the expansion and growth of the Church locally, nationally and internationally. Until ‘The Kingdom of this world has become the Kingdom of our God (Rev 11:15). As our business blesses the Church, so shall the Lord enlarge our coast.
